Jeb, the other programmer besides Notch on Minecraft, tweeted this not too long ago: Link

So the version showed at PAX will be out any day now and the rest of the update will follow in about a week.

I can't wait for it. The new world generation code looks fantastic. The addition of a creative mode means that I probably won't be playing much of Classic any more.

Also, NPC villages, prepare to suffer the wrath of Steve!
